More about Carroll G. Robinson, Esq.

Carroll G. Robinson is the Associate Dean of External Affairs and Assistant Professor at the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas; the second largest historically black college and university in the United States.

Robinson serves as the Chairman of the Houston Citizens’ Chamber of Commerce (2007), as well as a member of the Board of Directors of CHILDREN AT RISK and Board of Managers for the Northeast YMCA in Houston, Texas. He is a former member of the Advisory Board of the Holocaust Museum of Houston.

Robinson also serves as Chairman of the Houston City Council District D METRO Rail Task Force (2005 - 2007). He is an Advisory Board member of Texas Southern University’s Center for Transportation Training and Research (CTTR) (2006-2008)and is an Editorial Board Member of CHILDREN AT RISK’s 2007 Growing up in Houston: Assessing the Quality of Life of Our Children Report.

Robinson is a member of the National Bar Association (NBA), American Bar Association (ABA), State Bar of Texas(SBOT), Houston Lawyers Association and Houston Bar Association.

He is a former Chair of the SBOT African-American Lawyers Section, a former member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association Board of Directors and a former President, Director and Parliamentarian of the Houston Lawyers Association and a former Associate Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

He is married to Mikita Kirkland Robinson and they are the proud parents of Kirkland Eugene Anthony Robinson.
